We love lamb burgers. You can have a bit of extra fun with adding different flavours to compliment the lamb, and you can also combine 1 lb ground beef with 1 lb ground lamb for a lovely ‘fusion’ burger. Just remember, these puppies often have a bit of extra (yet delicious) fat in them, so keep in mind when grilling them – allow for some sizzling and a bit of shrink. These would also make amazing meatballs.
Servings: 8 people
- 2 lbs Fresh Roots Farm Grassfed Ground Lamb Optional: 1 lb ground lamb, 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch paprika
- 1 red onion minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh mint or cilantro
- 1 pinch sea salt
Mix together ingredients in mixing bowl. Shape into 6-8 patties, and add salt and pepper before throwing them on the grill, or frying in a cast-iron frying pan. Cook for about 4 minutes per side for medium rare. Remove, and let rest for a few minutes.
