Experiments, open minds key to Cartwright farm

Michelle Schram and Troy Stozek may not have started out thinking they were going to be farmers, but once committed, they took an openminded approach, along with a solid philosophy and are in the process of developing something unique in the Cartwright area.
The couple operates Fresh Roots Farm, and spoke to interested parties at Farm Focus in Boissevain on March 6. The pair discussed their reasons for farming, what they have learned in the process and what their hopes for the future are.
